6 1/2" (17 cm.) Standing on a red wooden-wheeled base with iron chassis are a white mohair pup with amber glass eyes and a grey mohair cat with green glass eyes. When the toy is pulled along, the animals appear to be running along backward and forward, independently. Fair condition, one metal rod needs to be re-attached, mohair is worn. Germany, Steiff, from their line of "eccentric" toys, each animal has original early button in ear with unscored F. Germany, Steiff, circa 1927, rare early toy.
