Description
7" (18 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso with chubby shape, blue glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, painted dark curly lashes, single-stroke brows, little button-shaped nose, closed mouth in tiny line smile, blonde mohair wig, jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted socks, and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, pea-sized one-piece reglue at right elbow. Marks: 112 5 (head and arms).111-5 (legs). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, the facial model was inspired by the designs of Grace Drayton, mystery maker. Value Points: very rare eight-point jointing of the most endearing googly.
