Carved wooden socket head with bald pate, pierced pinholes at crest of scalp indicating his profession, well-defined ears and facial features with tinted painting, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Door of Hope, circa 1920, depicting Buddhist priest. Value Points: rare model wearing homespun linen kimono over blue short jacket with elongated sleeves, another blue jacket, blue fitted trousers, yellow homespun slippers with self cording.
