8" (20 cm.) All-carved wood with ball-jointed neck beneath the furry cloth mane, carved open mouth with painted teeth, painted muzzle, green glass eyes, rope tail. Excellent condition. American, Schoenhut, circa 1905, the earliest version of the lion made for the Humpty Dumpty circus.
