23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich amber-tinted complexion, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, incised eyeliner, black brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth with slightly parted accented lips, black mohair wig, amber tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 30 164. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900, from the firm's series of Asian model girl and lady dolls. Value Points: the rare model, especially in this larger size, has finest quality of bisque, finely-painted amber complexion with soft blush, original body and body finish, and is wearing antique silk dress, undergarments, black kidskin shoes and woven bonnet.
