Gofun-finished head, brown enamel inset eyes, tinted brows and closed mouth, black silk hair in very elaborate coiffure with painted feathering around the face, wearing red silk brocade robes with gilt accents over white crepe gown decorated with hand-painted scenes of swans and flowers, brocade sash and accessories, hand-painted fan, elaborate hair accessories, presented on hand-painted wooden stand. Excellent condition. Japan, Showa era, an extraordinary costume.
