9" (23 cm.) The paper mache pig with soft kidskin cover has hinged neck and legs, tiny glass eyes, leather ears and curly tail, and painted mouth with two teeth. When the mechanism, hidden in torso, is wound, the piglet waddles forward in an amusing action, and "oinks". Excellent condition, mechanical functions well. French, from the series of mechanical animals presented by Roullet et Decamps, circa 1800.
