17" (43 cm.) x 14". The wooden frames with gold leaf finish enclose shadowbox arrangements, each with two all-bisque glass-eyed German dolls with original costumes, posed in playful scenes against hand-painted backgrounds and with artfully arranged scenic props. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1900.
