Description
9" (23 cm.) All-wooden doll whose torso and head is in the shape of a peanut, with painted peanut shell details and painted face with outlined monocle; his arms and legs are segmented wood so he can be nicely posed, and he has a wooden blue top hat on his head that is labeled "Mr. Peanut". Condition: generally excellent, lacking walking stick, patina rubs on hat edges. Comments: Cameo, 1930s from their series of advertising dolls designed by Joseph Kallus. Value Points: delightful articulation possibilities on the early advertising doll.
