Description
9" (23 cm.) Each is all-bisque with swivel head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, swivel waist, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white ribbed stockings with above-the-knee scalloped rims, black ankle boots with tassel details, mohair wig. Condition: one with right arm cracked at elbow and chip at shoulder, thumbs restored; other with right wrist restored and left index finger chipped; otherwise excellent. Marks: 3. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare all-bisque pair with swivel waists and fancily painted stockings and shoes.
