18" (46 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead with painted black pate, black enamel glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, accented lips, two rows of tiny teeth, pink kid fashion body with shapely torso and limbs, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1855. Value Points: the early fashion doll model has fine original finish and sturdy body, and is wearing her original richly embroidered costume of Brittany.
