10" (25 cm.) overall. A flat-back intricately-woven basket with decorative ribbons is filled with a plethora of miniature dolls and toys including all-bisque mignonettes, wooden tuck comb dolls, bisque monkey Marquis, tinplate penny toys, lamb, and more. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: for the French holiday market, circa 1890 , as presented in Parisian holiday Etrennes catalogs; the basket, known as "hotte" was a miniature version of a traditional peddler's back-pack basket of the 19th century. Value Points: fabulous presentation with many fine and rare dolls.
