Description
3" (8 cm.) h. paintings. 8" x 9" frames. The oval portraits in gouache with delicately-shaded details of complexion and hair depicting a young boy and girl, the boy with curly shaded brown hair and high ruffled collar, and the girl, in sad profile, with golden brown hair and wearing brown dress with low rounded collar. Reframed in birdseye walnut with gold matting. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s.
