Description
8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted bright blue scalloped-top socks and black ankle boots with button sides, knit dress. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny stringing hole flakes, tiny flakes on one inside finger tip and thumb tip. Marks: 2 1/2 (also on legs). Comments: Germany, attributed to Kestner, circa 1890. Value Points: rare painting of blue socks and black ankle boots.
