Description
15" (38 cm.) Firmly-pressed composition socket head with well-defined chin, textured complexion, defined eye sockets with painted brown eyes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with wistful expression, auburn mohair wig with coiled braids composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: from the series of dolls introduced at the Munich Art Fair in 1908 from the Marion Kaulitz art studios, the model closely resembles the 112 model by Kammer and Reinhardt. Value Points: rare model with original painted finish, original body and body finish, compelling wistful expression, and wearing very elaborate original multi-layered folklore costume and coiffe.
