16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, brown sculpted hair arranged with loosely braided coronet topped by black and gilt comb, and with delicate feathering around her forehead, pierced sculpted ears, painted blue eyes, painted eyeliner and brows, closed mouth, elaborately-sculpted and painted bodice with three tiers of ruffled collar and black bow, new muslin body and bisque limbs, lovely antique costume. Condition: restoration to black hair comb and black bow, otherwise excellent. Marks: 5A 5 (incised back shoulderplate). Comments: Germany, 1875. Value Points: very rare model with intricate sculpting and painting.
