Description
25" (64 cm.) All composition with socket head and five piece body, sleep and flirty eyes, mohair lashes, original blonde mohair wig in ringlet curls. Marks: Shirley Temple Ideal N&T Co. (head) Shirley Temple (torso). Condition: generally excellent, few craze lines on legs, rub on lower lip. Comments: the doll is wearing 1940s vintage handmade costume inspired by the film "Wee Willie Winkie" comprising khaki jacket, plaid woolen skirt, woolen stockings, twill leggings, shoes. A pattern for the costume was offered by Simplicity at that time (see Lot #116).
