22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, painted blue eyes with dark thick upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined teeth, accented lips, dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, fine antique costume including embroidered pinafore. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 151 S&H 3 (head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig from their art-reform "150" character series, circa 1910. Value Points: the smiling child with wonderful impressed cheek dimples and laughter lines, finest quality of bisque, artistic painting of features includes shaded lips, original body and fine original body finish, is especially rare in this larger size.
