Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting young lad with up-tilted head, brown tousled windblown hair, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing original silk costume comprising jacket with silver buttons, vest, shirt, tie, and silk breeches with gilt metallic trim, carrying wooden bucket. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, most expressive features of young lad enhanced by fine artistic painting.
