14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, with deposed system of articulation allowing the head to tilt forward and backward and sideways as well as classic swivel, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque arms and hands to above the elbows, antique silk costume, undergarments, leather shoes signed C.M., bonnet. Condition: generally excellent Marks: A. Dehors Brevete (incised on front shoulderplate). Comments: Alexandre Dehors, who deposed his system of neck articulation in 1867; few examples of the system are found with his signature, however. Value Points: rare signed model with deposed articulation, bisque arms and hands.
