12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded plump facial shape, painted blue eyes with heavy eyelids and black downcast pupils, delicate black eyeliner, decorative glaze at the lower irises, painted all-around lashes, arched brows, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden bebe body with loose-ball-articulations at elbows, hips and knees, cupped hands, pretty antique costume, bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, flawless bisque, near mint body finish. Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1865. Value Points: compelling gentle expression with most artistic painting of features, finest bisque, rare wooden body.
