14" (36 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of slender-faced brown-complexioned elderly man with bald pate, frowning expression, enamel eyes, lips parted with two upper teeth, thick brows and imperial moustache, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown stockings and red knee-high boots, wearing original green silk robe with gilt metallic border, tapestry vest with silver buttons, shirt, yellow harem pants, and blue/cream coiled turban. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, very distinctive modeling on the rarely-found figure.
