23" (58 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval face and plump cheeks, blonde sculpted hair drawn from face in deeply-defined waves behind her pierced ears, and capped by a ruffled blue coiffe, painted facial features, blue painted eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent, sculpted ruffled blue collar with black neck ribbon and pendant, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms, lovely antique gown, undergarments, cape. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875, the doll was featured in the book, China, Parian & Bisque German Dolls by Lydia Richter. Value Points: regal presence of the rare doll with richly sculpted coiffe, bodice and jewelry.
