Description
36" (91 cm.) h. x 38"w. x 43"d. The three story wooden castle with lift-off floors features a blue/grey wooden tiled roof with various flat or curved roof lines, a grand front entrance and a carved wooden base to simulate stone with arranged stairs. Each floor features a large central room with sliding door access, and stairs lead from one floor to the next. From a series of miniature mid-1900s houses commissioned by Huguette Clark from the Japanese artist, Saburo Kawakami, through the agency of the historic Asian art importer G.T. Marsh of San Francisco and Santa Barbara. The construction as well as native woods are authentic, including sliding doors which are designed to simply fit into the floor and frame grooves in the exact manner of actual buildings. Excellent condition.
