Bisque socket head of adult woman with very angular facial planes, oval face with shapely defined nose, chin and cheekbones, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils of aquiline nose, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed lady body with shapely bosom, waist, and elongated limbs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6 1303 S&H Germany (head) Heinrich Handwerck Germany (torso). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900, the glass-eyed variation of the rare model. Value Points: exceptional quality of sculpting especially planes of cheek and chin, very fine quality of bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
