Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, neck jointing allowing the head to tilt forward and side-to-side as well as swivel, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate kid-over-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at hips, knees and shoulders, and with bisque arms to above the elbows. Excellent condition, left ring finger restored. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: lovely early model poupee with rich blue eyes, rare neck articulation, and rare wooden body with bisque arms.
