15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head depicting a smiling child, painted facial features, painted blue eyes, dark upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression, defined space between the lips with painted teeth, impressed cheek dimples, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 151 S&H 2/0. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from the firm's prestige art character series. Value Points: especially choice example of the rare-to-find art character with choice bisque, deeply-impressed cheek dimples, original body and body finish, wearing original factory costume.
