18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with richly-glazed lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 8 (and artist checkmarks, head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. Value Points: rare light amber eyes with rose blushed eye shadow lend an appealing dramatic look, with fine gleaming patina of complexion, original wig, pate, body, and body finish, fine antique costume.
