Description
28" (71 cm.) Poured wax head with kind expression and deeply-fined facial age wrinkles, blue glass inset eyes, strong nose, closed mouth, white mohair flowing hair and bears, firmly-shaped body with wax hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Wax Doll Made and Dressed by Lewis Sorensen (original paper label inside coat). Comments: Lewis Sorensen, the prestigious American NIADA member, from his line of Santa Claus dolls, circa 1970. Value Points: very fine sculpture of classic European Father Christmas is wearing his original costume.
