8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, auburn mohair wig in elaborate coiffure, commercial muslin original body, bisque arms to above the elbows with bent elbows and sculpted hands, bisque lower legs with painted boots, wearing original maroon and gold silk gown with beaded trim. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1875. Value Points: very rare diminutive doll with exquisite modeling and painting, rare original body.
