Description
Of creamy cotton printed with abstract tiny red and black design, the gown features a box-pleated bodice attached to a waist band with front ruching, below a fitted yoke, pagoda sleeves with box-pleated shoulders, set-in waistband, full skirt with triple tiers of ruffles, lace trim at the rounded neckline and sleeve edges. The label of "Au Caliph du Baghdad" of Monsieur Herbillon is stamped on the dress interior. To fit 12" lady doll. 3" shoulder width. 5 1/2" waist. 9" overall length. Circa 1855.
