20" (51 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead turned to the right, blue glass paperweight eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, stitched-on stockings and shoes with tassel ties. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875, attributed to Schilling. Value Points: beautiful wide-eyed child is in perfectly-preserved original condition, wearing royal blue silk dress with lace collar, undergarments, ruffled cap.
