9" (23 cm.) doll. 10" x 6" x 7" box. Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows, very slightly-parted lips, tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 749 dep 3/0. Comments: Simon and Halbig bisque head for the French market, with original French body, circa 1890. Value Points: the rare model child has original body and is wearing original rose cotton dress, undergarments, socks and shoes, and is presented in wooden gift box with floral paper cover, along with five additional dresses, undergarments, muff, powder puff, hanky and more.
