16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with angular facial modeling, strong chin and elongated throat, blue intaglio eyes with black upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, one- stroke tapered brows, closed mouth with modeled space between the expressive lips, two sculpted upper teeth, brunette mohair wig, slender composition body with one-piece arms posed bent at the elbows, one-piece slender shapely legs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: 185/22 F.B. 616 1. Comments: Fritz Bierschenk, the Sonneberg dollmaker registered this singular head model, 616, in 1908; few examples appear to have been made as evidenced by their rarity. Value Points: beautiful portrait like doll with distinctive features and body, finest bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish and costume.
