20" (51 cm.) Standing upon a velvet-covered base is a bisque head girl with large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, bisque shoulderplate, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms. When wound, she turns her head from side to side, then nods as she raises the teapot in her right hand toward the tea tray with cups and creamer held in left hand. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 4 (head) L.B. (key) (original paper tune label listing "La Czarina"). Comments: Leopold Lambert, circa 1890, wearing original Russian traditional costume with matching coiffe having lavish beaded trim. Value Points: superb original condition, mechanism and music function well, with original wooden box.
