8" (20 cm.) and 12". Each has bisque socket head with shaded brown complexion, painted brown eyes with rich outlining, accented costume, closed mouth, including adult man with darkened unshaven complexion, grim expression, grey mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume, marked D.F./B B3; and girl with brunette mohair wig, composition flapper body with painted shoes and socks, marked DFB (in script) E 4. Excellent condition. Comments: DeFuisseaux, circa 1910, the firm's dolls were heavily influenced by the German art character dolls of the era. Value Points: rare models with exceptional quality of artistic and highly characterized painting.
