Description
The taupe flannel wool bonnet, designed to rest on the back of the head, is richly draped and embellished with ecru embroidery and accented with steel beading. The wire-framed bonnet (some few moth holes) is edged with burgundy silk, and is fully lined and bears the gilt lettered label of Melanie Paen at 11 Rue St. Honore in Paris. 7"h. 5" inside head width. Circa 1870.
