15" (38 cm.) including cap. All-cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features depicting the Egyptian Queen, slender oval face and elongated throat, richly-decorated eyes, firm lips, very slender body and limbs, modeled bosom, individually sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heizer (lettered on feet). Comments: Dorothy Heizer, circa 1930s, the model was inspired by excavated tombstone drawings of Nefertiti; in her notes Heizer wrote "she is one of the most difficult figures that I make...". Value Points: very rare model, with original pleated mousseline gown, braided sash, high blue crown, sandals, and elaborate beaded jewelry comprising wide collar, anklets and bracelets.
