14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with light brown complexion, black brushstroke-painted hair, painted dark brown eyes in deeply-set sockets, one-stroke painted brows and eye liner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral-shaded lips, brown composition bent limb baby body, cotton romper suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 126 Germany 36. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, the premiere model from their firm's art character series was offered by the firm with various complexion colors, the black and brown complexions being quite rare. Value Points: rare model whose light brown complexion enhances the deeply-sculpted laughter crinkles and cheek dimples, original body and body finish.
