16" (41 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead turned delicately to the side, modeled downcast enamel eyes, heart-shaped face, brown sculpted hair loosely sculpted from face into coiled bun, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing peach silk gown with silver thread embroidery and prismatic amber stones, with gilt thread headdress under surmounted silver crown, and carrying silver jar and additional silver crown. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, exceptionally beautiful model with delicate complexion, luxury accessories.
