18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and darker blue outer iris, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: head and shoulderplate excellent, sturdy original body albeit darkened and aged, right hand restored. Marks: (circle dot symbol) 6. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his early bebe of 1880. Value Points: beautiful bisque and delicate blush painting of eyeshadow, cheek and chin blush, enhancing the splendid eyes, lovely antique costume including Bru leather shoes signed "B" in oval.
