Description
16" (41 cm.) x 17" x 13". Presented in a wooden box which serves as the theatre base when in play is an elaborate folding theatre of heavy paper stock, with side panels and some cut-out theatre figures. There are a large number of scenes designed for use with various performances, each scene of rich lithography with enhancing paint and varnishing touches. The scenes range from country villages to Paris, such as the Palais Royal and Rue de Rivoli. Lithographed by Pinot & Sagaire. Very good condition, some rubs and small folds. French, circa 1860.
