Description
11" (28 cm.) seated. All-cloth doll with sculpted and oil painted facial features depicting Queen Elizabeth toward the end of the 1800s posed seated in a velvet covered chair, white mohair wig drawn away from her face and captured in a hair net, individually-sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: created by Dorothy Heizer, circa 1930s, charter NIADA member. Value Points: the classic image of the beloved Queen is perfectly captured here, wearing black mourning gown over black taffeta underslip, sheer organdy black shawl, fitted leather boots, and with pearls, rings, and pearl bracelets.
