14" (36 cm.) All-cloth doll with sculpted and oil painted facial features, light brown hair drawn away from her face and captured in a tightly-braided chignon at her crown which is encircled by detailed crown, sculpted ears with dangling earrings, elbow-length fitted gloves on armature fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: created by Dorothy Heizer, circa 1930s, charter NIADA doll artist whose works are in the Smithsonian, from the original Yellin collection of Philadelphia who acquired the doll directly from the artist. Value Points: very fine original condition with elegant ivory satin gown and slippers, undergarments, red velvet ivory-lined cape with gilt braid and faux-ermine trim, "diamond" necklace.
