17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue glass eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair body over cork pate, French kid body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, wooden arms with dowel-articulation at shoulders, elbows, and wrists, separately-sculpted fingers, lovely antique costume with matching bonnet, undergarments, stockings and slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, attributed to Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: very gentle expression complemented by large eyes with dark eyeliner, wooden articulated arms.
