Description
18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional face, hand-painted curly blonde hair and facial features, brown eyes, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, antique costume. Condition: good, some fading of paint features with typical rubs, body excellent. Comments: circa 1900, an early example of the charity doll presented by Moravian Church society under the early direction of Polly Heckwelder. Value Points: rare to find doll especially this early example.
