13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with very chubby face, round blue glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, little rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, accent line between the lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish albeit hands repainted. Marks: 173 - 6. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1918. Value Points: gleeful expression on the impish googly character, finest quality of bisque and painting, antique costume including a rare miniature tin lunch box.
