15" (38 cm.) All carved wooden doll with socket head, sculpted short boyish hair with defined curls and forelock, narrow brown squinting eyes with white eyedots, rose blushed eye shadow, short feathered brows, rounded nose with accent dots, closed smiling mouth modeled as though open and with two beaded upper and lower teeth, spring jointed body, cotton play suit. Condition: generally excellent, original finish with little paint rubs on nose and cheek. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan, 17, Ô11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, their model marketed as "Schnickelfritz", circa 1912. Value Points: rare model with wonderfully expressive features of a delighted child.
