Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very large blue glass eyes with defined spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined pale lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4. Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: gorgeous poupee with distinctive facial expression, dramatic large blue eyes, beautiful bisque and painting, especially sturdy body, wearing fine early white pique gown with soutache embroidery, undergarments, dainty coronet of tiny silk flowers and ivory silk streamers.
