12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, sculpted bobbed hair in side-parted style with unique orange color, blue side-glancing googly eyes, painted long curly lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows, pug nose, closed mouth, wide beaming smile, accented lips, composition baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 163-2. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, the model was marketed as "Jubilee Googly", circa 1918. Value Points: appealing petite size of the impish character with excellent detail of bisque, well-sculpted hair and mouth. The exact doll is featured on the cover of the book, German Doll Studies by Marianne and Jurgen Cieslik. $2500/3500
